Anxiety is a psychological and physiological state characterized by cognitive, somatic, emotional, and behavioral components. The said components combine to create an unpleasant feeling, which is typically associated with uneasiness, apprehension, fear, or worry. Anxiety, as a generalized mood condition, can often occur without an identifiable triggering stimulus.
A person who suffers from headaches, panic attacks, or racing thoughts that cannot be controlled then, he must learn how to deal with his/her stress and anxiety better. A certain view says that anxiety is “a future-oriented mood state in which one is ready or prepared to cope with upcoming negative events” suggesting that it is a distinction between future vs. present dangers that divide anxiety and fear. And it is considered as a normal reaction to stress.
There are physical effects that anxiety causes to a one's body, and these include the following: heart palpitations, muscle weakness and tension, nausea, fatigue, chess pain, shortness of breath, stomach aches, and headaches. External signs of anxiety are also very obvious, such as pale skin, sweating, pupillary dilation, and trembling. The person who has anxiety might also experience it as a sense of dread or panic.
Anxiety may lead to even bigger problems. This is because of its effects to one’s mental and emotional health. And as a result, much mischief would come into that person’s life. Thus, one should think ways to help himself cope with, overcome and/or manage his anxiety well.
Meditation is a perfect way to deal with stress, anxiety, and even harmful thoughts. That is why one should take time to meditate and let their mind quiet though it’s too difficult to do. You may use meditation aid to help you overcome the difficulties that you are experiencing. However, like anything worth learning, meditation requires practice for a better result.

Great hub to help one identify if he/she has an anxiety attack.
My neighbour suffered from anxiety attack after her mom was diagnosed with cancer. She was not able to do daily house work and send her children to school. She is blessed to have a supportive husband and church members to help her through the hard time.

Hi Michael
I had a personal tragedy a time go, and I suffered from anxiety attacks afterward.
I argued up and down with the doctors about it because I wasn't feeling the emotional symptoms. I would go about feeling fine, in good spirits, and then WHAM I would be in a full-on crisis. I went to the ER one night because my heart was beating so hard that you see visibly see my ribs moving from it. But, I was not even remotely upset about anything...
Eventually the attacks stopped. But without any emotional symptoms, I was very confused.
I have lots of sympathy for folks who have chronic attacks. It is no fun.
Thanks for this hub! I enjoyed it.
