Hands Off:The Dog Training Formula

Train Your Dog Without Touching Him

COACHING YOUR MAN’S BESTFRIEND

Dogs have always been a great help to mankind in many ways. It is undeniable that they have become a huge part of our daily life. Now, they don’t just serve as pets, they are those who protect us when burglars are rushing their way up on our homes, entertain us in our lonesome moments, and they eventually become our help at the time of needs and emergencies.

Here are tips on How to train your dogs and make them as useful as they can be;

  • Start promoting rapport to your dog.

Putting such foundation of relationship between you and your dog makes the job easier. It is real important for you to be able to have its trust in order to attain better results.

  • Start petting your dog and make it aware of its environment.

This step will create a specific mind set to the dog. This will let it feel that he is not just a decoration of your home.

  • Identify the strengths that you think your dog can perform.

Being sensitive enough on the capacity of your dog is a great help in this kind of process. Sure to know that you won’t expect a chiwawa carry a basket full of laundries on his back.

  • Start using simple verbs in training him.

Walk, sit, stand, turn, catch and other single type of commands are easy for a dog to comprehend.

  • Show it first what those action words most likely mean

Learning will be hard for it if you’ll teach it without your guidance. A teaching demonstration strategy is the best type of course in educating a dog.

  • Give them rewards during training.

Foods are always a good appetizer and are best to motivate dogs to continue its deeds.

  • Do not force them when they don’t want to perform the task.

Forcing them would lead them to take the course as a curse. Better be known to its mood and sway with them as it enjoy its being an animal.

  • A break is a must.

Consecutive training without break in between will make them feel too sick to do it again next time. Rest is also intended for animals, thus, giving them enough will satisfy both parties.

  • Conducive place to rest will be appreciated.

Giving them rights and showing them how they are given due importance captures their trust. Furthermore, it will promote enough rest for another day of course.

  • Make sure to train them at the same time on same days.

Exact timing helps putting inputs on its mind that it is a regular activity, and it should be done religiously, or if you take it for granted they too will mark it as something to forget.

  • Start using action words on sentences.

A little of this day by day will help them be able to perform the tricks or the tasks you want them to learn.

  • If they are already good at what you taught them, start recalling it to them day by day and make it as if part of its daily activities.

This will enhance its abilities and will make them better at each time they do it.

People think I am nuts but our Cocker Spaniels know the difference between a regular and a football. They know when it is breakfast in the morning, I go outside sit down tell them to eat their breakfast and they do not stop until the breakfast is finished. The know when I am picking up there poo I tell them , " Look at this poo-poo" and they will follow behind me tapping there paw on there nose. It is hilarious!!! lololo Thank you so much for all of the information it is very informative. :)
