Best State Parks in Colorado

If I would be a simple traveler for a day or two, then, I would really spend those times in wandering in a park. Of course, I would bring with a camera, a tent, and other things that may be useful in exploring and finding pleasure and treasure in a wonderful surrounding of the park. Away from the work pressures and stress from the surroundings, I would definitely enjoy it.

In many stories, especially with themes of family bonding, friendships and romance, in movies and books, parks are usually present in the plot or locations of the story. And, what could this idea possibly indicate? Well, in my point of view, parks are considered by many as a romantic place, a place where love will be more appreciated, and a place where you share your love to people whom you wanted to give your love with. No wonder why parks should really be regarded as treasures.

In this beautiful state of Colorado where I live in, there are more than 40 state parks. I have visited most of these state parks with my family, and sometimes, with friends, and words are not enough to describe the pleasure we had. We enjoyed various activities such as hiking, boating, and many other things that can be done when you are in the park. However, the activity that I enjoyed the most was when we had picnics together, and we could share our feelings towards each. We were talking about anything, laughing out loud, and freeing ourselves from all the stress from our regular working days. Those days were really fun.

Now, as I am watching the photos of the state parks where I’ve been, a plan came across my mind, and I would visit these places again. Here are some of the most beautiful local treasures of Colorado that I’m going to visit again soon.

Located in the northwestern part of the state is one of the most wonderful jewels called the Steamboat Lake State Park. One of the nicest places I’ve been here in Colorado. You can enjoy different activities while you are in this place. This is absolutely a great place for various outdoor activities like hiking, biking, boating, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, camping, picnicking, and many others.

Another wonderful place that can be found in Eagle County of Colorado is the Sylvan Lake State Park. If you want a secluded and quiet place to hang out, then, this park is where you should go. This is the best place to enjoy your favorite summer or winter activity. 

One of the best state parks in Colorado, located in the town of Divide that I would really love to visit again is the Mueller State Park. I really appreciate the place more during winter since the place is very suitable for winter outdoor recreations. Another reason why I consider revisiting this local highlight is that I actually liked watching the wildlife, taking pictures and many other things. I just love being there again.

These local treasures are just some of the beautiful attractions that I am planning to spend my free days again. And of course, I would certainly bring my loved ones when I’ll get a chance to visit these places again.
