10 Strategies on Making More Money on eBay

Do you want to earn more money on eBay? Are you interested to know the strategies on how to get better income on eBay? Then, here are the strategies that you should put into practice in order to get what you want.

Nowadays, more and more people are succumbing in one of the world’s leading online properties, the eBay! EBay has over 300,000,000 registered users. The eBay’s core site is hosting millions of retail and wholesale transactions everyday in over 30 countries around the world. These things are what make eBay more interesting.

Making money on eBay is fast and easy when you are equipped with strategies on how to realize it. Here are 10 strategies that will certainly help you as you go on doing your business on eBay.

1. Initiate with what you currently have.

The first strategy would be gathering more information about how eBay works and look for fundamental information about eBay that you think you can use as you go through the actual process. Earning good money on eBay can also turn into losing money on eBay if you do not know how it really works. Don’t dive into the pool if you don’t know how deep the water is. You might just end up banging your head on the bottom.

2. In selling on eBay, make sure to include a clear image of the product with a plain background.

The photo of the product is really important to convince people to buy your product. It is necessary to have a clear photo showing the real image of the product. Plain background is more appreciated since it does not distract customer’s attention, and it can enhance the realistic feature of your product.

3. Describe the most attractive and interesting feature of the product.

Of course, you need to catch the attention of the customers in order to encourage them to buy the product. You shouldn’t be talking about common features that they can find in most products, try to talk about the things that make it more interesting and unique.

4. Always provide a ‘buy it now’ preference.

Most purchasers find it difficult to wait, and guess for a couple of days before they would know when they could get the item or not.

5. End the auction sale at peak times.

In offering auction sales, you should pick a week night, usually, Monday and Tuesday, which are the days when highest internet sales occur. It is not advisable to end an auction during times when people are usually not in their homes.

6. Estimate your shipping cost

Estimating your shipping cost will prevent situations such as underestimation of cost, which would probably result to a loss or a lesser profit.

7. Do not stress out about the starting price.

What really matters is the finishing price, so don’t stress yourself thinking about the starting price of the product.

8. Don’t delay any email questions about the product.

There are customers who would want more information about the product or some might want to know the seller’s personality. Simple things like these can affect your sales. Better make sure that you are answering questions instantly and in a good way.

9. Leave a positive comment on eBay community.

Positive comments from buyers and sellers in eBay community could help a lot to get better feedback. You will help each other by promoting your products in a simple yet effective way.

10. Ship as soon as possible and let the customer know when the product is shipped.

Most buyers are reading reviews about products before buying. Once they’ll read negative feedback about long period waiting and about the delay of the arrival of product, this will greatly affect your sales.

These are the strategies that you should use in order to make more money on eBay.

This is really great advice. I do a little selling on ebay. In the past i've lost money because of shipping. I looked to see what other people where charging and put my shipping a little lower. That didn't work. Another thing was I didn't consider the ebay fees and pay pal fees. Now I always research before I even put something for sale. I loved your article though. It was really great advice.

This article gives important points. But some of my fellow hubbers say that if we put ebay here on hubpages, it affects our Adsense earning. To ssay directly, Adsense does'nt 'tolerate' ebay at larger extent. So, we can use ebay on other blogs, not on hubpages. It is better if we depend on Ad sense alone here.
